This short walk is suitable for strollers, wheelchairs, picnickers, and junior walkers. Setting off from the signposted car park over the road from the dog park, is leads though replanted native forest beside the road. After a few minutes, it comes to a wooden balcony amongst the trees with a small view down the valley. Further on, it crosses a Harry Ell Walkway access track, and rises briefly to another small car park. Back in forest, the track comes upon another balcony surrounding a larger tree.
From the end of the track, you can cross the road and climb up past the information centre to the main car park, picnic area, toilets, and playground. From here, a trail leads back down the road to the start.
