Lyell Campsite
This grassy camping space occupies a terrace above Lyell Creek, next to Kawatiri / the Buller River. The site was once the location of the Lyell goldrush town, and the entrance road follows the path of the original Lyell Main Street.
The campsite offers a shelter and information boards about the site. It marks the southern end of the Old Ghost Road tramping/mountain bike trail. Several interesting gold-era sites are within short walking distance.
